Open Cubic Player

http://stian.cubic.org/project-ocp.php

Open Cubic Player is a music player which can play a wide variety of music
formats. Currently it can play so called modules (MOD, XM, S3M, IT), MIDI,
MP1-3, SID tunes, and CD audio. It supports many soundcards (SB, GUS, EWS, WSS,
PAS, and many more). It features many different display modes for "looking"
(text and graphics) at the music.

Build disabled for openSUSE_Tumbleweed due to package being way too old; e.g. makeinfo behaves completely different than what the package expects.

Thanks. Could you please also wipe the old openSUSE_Tumbleweed binaries ?

Just removed all openSUSE_Tumbleweed, however the x86_64 packages cannot be deleted. @jsjhb, can you please take a look what's wrong here?

Just saw that all packages for openSUSE_Tumbleweed have been deleted now. Thanks to whoever that did, maybe even PBMS itself... :-)

ocp is now available in obs https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/ocp https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/multimedia:apps/ocp

Publishing of the pmbs version of ocp should be disabled.

Can ocp use some patent-encumbered codec? Otherwise this can be linked as it is.

Martin Hauke

mnhauke wrote about 1 year ago

I'm not aware of any problematic codecs. The package was also reviewed by the SUSE legal guys before it was accepted in Factory.

Will it build on Leap?

Martin Hauke

mnhauke wrote about 1 year ago

It does build on Leap ... https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:mnhauke/ocp but it' needs the following patch https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/home:mnhauke/ocp/0001-Fix-build-with-clang10.0.1.patch?expand=1

... and a bunch of dependencies that I recently forwarded to Factory ... https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/gnu-unifont-fonts https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/xa https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/ancient

You should get that stuff into 15.5

Martin Hauke

Since I'm not using stable distributions anymore (at least on my desktop systems) I don't really want to take care of these packages in Leap.
